Terms of Service

By accessing and using ArguLens AI ("Service"), operated by Venkata Subramanian Srinivasan ("we," "our," or "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

ArguLens AI provides AI-powered legal document analysis tools. The Service allows users to upload legal documents and receive automated analysis including case summaries, strengths and weaknesses identification, opposing arguments, timelines, and interactive chat capabilities.

IMPORTANT: ArguLens AI does not provide legal advice. The Service is for informational purposes only and should not be construed as legal advice or a substitute for consultation with a qualified attorney.

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account through our authentication provider (Clerk). You may sign in using Google OAuth. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Free Tier: Limited access to the Service with restrictions on the number of analyses and features available.

Pro Tier: Subscription service billed at $11/month through Stripe. The Pro tier provides enhanced features including unlimited documents per analysis, advanced AI models, and increased usage limits.

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly basis. You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

You may cancel your Pro subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Cancellation will be effective at the end of your current billing period. You will continue to have access to Pro features until the end of the paid period.

We do not offer refunds for partial months of service. If you cancel your subscription, you will not be charged for subsequent months.

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must only upload legal documents related to legitimate legal matters. You agree not to:

• Upload documents containing illegal content or content that violates third-party rights
• Use the Service to harass, abuse, or harm others
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits or security measures
• Upload malicious code or attempt to interfere with the Service
• Use the Service for any purpose other than analyzing legal documents
• Share or resell access to the Service without authorization

We employ content guardrails to ensure the Service is used appropriately. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

The analysis and outputs generated by ArguLens AI are produced by artificial intelligence and machine learning models. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or hallucinations.

You should independently verify all AI-generated analysis and not rely solely on the Service for legal decisions. Always consult with a qualified attorney for legal advice.

The Service, including all software, designs, text, graphics, and other content, is owned by us and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of the documents you upload.

You grant us a limited license to process your uploaded documents for the purpose of providing the analysis services. This license terminates when you delete your documents or account.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from or related to the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

You acknowledge that you use the Service at your own risk. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any analysis provided by the Service.

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our data practices.

We strive to maintain the Service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time with or without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes by email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through your account settings. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the appropriate courts.
